From now through June 22, 2008, Signature Theatre celebrates the longest-running songwriting partnership in Broadway musical history—John Kander and Fred Ebb—with a nationally recognized tribute. The legendary team is being saluted in a four-month festival featuring new productions of Kiss of The Spider Woman, The Happy Time, and the East Coast premiere of Kander and Ebb’s new musical The Visit. The entire canon of their witty and sharp lyrics along with their engaging vamps and musical melodies will grace the Signature stage.

The Celebration will culminate in an extraordinary black-tie Gala fête on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Signature Theatre. Your presence is greatly anticipated at this very exclusive event, and will contribute so much to the evening’s success.

6:00pm
The evening will feature a red carpet welcome, cocktails in the Kenneth and Bonnie Feld plaza tent, followed by a performance of the Washington premiere of The Visit, starring Chita Rivera, George Hearn, and Mark Jacoby, directed by Frank Galati. Then party into the evening with dinner and dancing in true Signature style.
